Kuki bodies demand 'customary apology' from IRB

Imphal, March 27: The Kuki Inpi, Sardar Hills and the Kuki Students Organisations, Sardar Hills demanded that the IRB authority should comeforth "customary apology" to the chief of Maphou with regard to the March 20 incident occurred between the villagers and the IRB personnel.

KSO, Sardar Hills and Kuki Inpi, Sardar Hills said that the two organisations had visited the Maphou village on March 25 for spot inquiry and found that there had been indiscipline and exhibit arrogant attitudes by IRB personnel had been the main concerned which is condemnable by all.

The two Kuki bodies then appealed the concerned authorities to look into the matter immediately and make sure that such unwelcome incidents never occurr again in future.

The two Kuki organisations demanded that the State Government should bear all the expenses for the loss of properties and medical expenditure incurred in treating the injured persons in the incident.
