Imphal, August 30: Security forces have apprehended one cadre each of the KCP (MC) and UNLF organisations on August 30 and 28 from different places of the State.

The KCP (MC) cadre identified as Yangabam Nimaichand (40) s/o (L) Y Achouba of Khoijuman Mayai Leikai was nabbed by a combined team of Imphal East district police commandos and troops of 39 Assam Rifles from near Lamlong market shed at around 5.30 am.

A statement issued by the SP (IE) Th Radheshyam conveyed of Nimaichand disclosing of being an active member of the banned group who worked at Imphal East areas.

The UNLF cadre namely Ningthoujam Bijoy Singh alias Ingoba (29) s/o (L) Irabot Singh of Kongpal Kongkham Leikai was arrested by Imphal East police commandos on August 28 evening from his locality.

Bijoy is said to have joined the UNLF in December 1997 through one Samananda and was working under the command of S/S L/cpl Korou of the UNLF, added another release of the SP.
