Imphal, November 29:
Four NNLA activists including three brothers were apprehended by Imphal East commandos during a frisking exercise at Mantripukhri-Koirengei area at about 9 am yesterday, informed SP Imphal East L Kailun in a release.
The NNLA activists are identified as Chanamthabam Sanatomba (28) s/o late Ch Indrajit of Koirengei Bazar and his two brothers��Ch Amujao (30) and Ch Naoba (22) and Thoudam Thabung alias Shankar (24) s/o Th Nongyai of Keikol.
One demand letter and a Maruti car (MN05A-1733) were recovered from their possession.
Further at about 9 am yesterday, one UNLF cadre identified as Lisham Ibosana alias Jojo alias Michael alias Kengba (28) s/o L Shamungou of Khongman Lisham Leirak was apprehended by a combined team of Imphal East commandos and troops of 32 AR.
Again on the same day at about 11 am, one PULF activist identified as Md Weshim Whaque alias Chunnu (32) of Keikhu Awang Leikai was pulled up by another team of Imphal East commandos from his locality, added the release.
On the other hand, troops of 34 AR of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) apprehended one suspected PULF activist from Waithou area yesterday.
The individual is identified as Sk Md Yunus Khan (30) s/o Rahimuddin, of Lilong College Maning Leikai.
The individual has been handed over to Thoubal Police Station today, informed an AR PRO release.
