NREGS plan for Machi Block, Chandel

Imphal, August 29: A joint meeting of the leaders of Machi Sub-Division Development Action Committee (MASDAC) and the village chairmen/chiefs of Machi Block, Chandel district held yesterday at IRCOD Nungourok has resolved to follow an action plan for effective implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) in the Block, informed a joint press statement.

As per the action plan, all the villages should open bank accounts at SBI Kangshang branch, Pallel, and a one day Accountancy and Management workshop for all village leaders of Machi Block will be held on September 7 at Reach-M Training Centre, Nungourok.

Moreover, the MASDAC leaders were also entrusted to take up necessary actions to ensure regular attendance of office by SDO Machi with immediate effect, added the release.
