Imphal, Jul 28: As a part of the Military Civic Action programme and with the objective to help people realise the quality of resources available in Manipur, the Assam Rifles Technology Hub Project (ARTH) was launched today at Mantripukhri garrison by Rupinder Ghotra, said a press release issued by the PRO of HQs IG AR (S).

Post harvest technology, incense sticks and incense candle making centre, aromatic and medicinal plant, bakery, community hall and vocational training centre have been included under the project, it informed.

The guiding principle behind the project is engage unemployed citizens in micro economic activities using local resources and improved technology with the establishment of ARTH for development of the region.

The release also informed that even as ARTH is being established at Imphal for the first time, the project has provisions to expand subsequently to other parts of Manipur.
