The main function was held at Kakwa community hall.
Speaking at the meeting, party president, Dr Nimaichand Luwang recalled that the party originated on the soil of the state.
It was founded with the objective of strengthening the emotional bonding of love of the people, and protecting the territorial boundary of the state preserved by the forefathers.
He said, the party welcomes all the good works done by other political parties in the state, but they will not remain silent if any of them indulges in such works which would hurt the sentiments of the people.
People of the state are living in a pitiful state where prices of essential commodities are skyrocketed, riddled with corruption and development works not suited with the fund invested for the works, he added.
"Vote for money" has been a culture of the people.
So far money is expended in election, development will delay.
SPF government is no more people's government is well known by the party.
MPP will effort its best to install an alternative government in the state, he assured.
Senior leader of the party, O joy observed the need of a great democratic revolution in the state citing an instant of Tripura where Bengali become the Chief Minister of the state.
If MPP was not, the different communities settling in the state might have vanished.
Joining the party those who work for own benefit will be hard task.
For joining the party, one should be honest and enable to scarify for the people.
The party is not among the parties who perform works under the Delhi high commands, he added.
Reacting to the criticism that no opposition party in the state, O Joy said, it's is the saying of ignorance people.
In the six session of the ninth Assembly, MPP had given good performance as opposition.
Members of MPP in the Assembly are taking active roles of being opposition in the house.
Former president of the party, Dr L Chandramani recalled the birth of MPP when Manipur was a union territory.
MPP is now become a perfect political party.
Congress has lost in the states of the country it considered as vote bank like UP, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab etc.
Congress still active is the result of disunity.
So, a lesion is needed to be taught to Congress in the next Assembly election.
