Mishap claims 2 at Kotlen

Imphal, October 24 2008: Two persons have been killed while three others sustained injuries when a Tata truck met with an accident at about 11 last night.

The tragic accident took place at a spot known as Nung Dolan near Kotlen along NH 53 .

The truck was travelling from Imphal to Silchar when it lost control and fell down a gorge.

The two deceased victims have been identified as Nabalkishore Gupta (44) s/o late Jagdish but staying at Awang Khul and Suraj Kumar Shah (10) s/o Lakshmi Shah.

Both of them belonged to Madhepura district, Bihar.

Nabalkishore Gupta run a grocery at Awang Khul.

Those who sustained injuries have been identified as driver Kaderjina (45) of Orissa but staying at Silchar, helper Sujan (28) and Kailash Kumar (18) of Khongshang.

They have been admitted in RIMS.
