Moreh, Jul 24:
With normalcy returning in the border town, Moreh Bazar started functioning and people have no more fear and apprehension in entering the Namphalong market on the other side of the border.
However, regulation of movement of vehicles on the road and the border area continue to be in force.
Few days back tension ran high in the border town following clashes between the security forces and the underground activists.
However, with tension slowly subsiding, Moreh market started functioning normally with free movement of people and traders alike.
Myanmarese traders started flocking to the Moreh market in the morning as well as in the afternoon to sell their wares and purchase other essential commodities.
However, the restriction imposed on crossing the border before 7 am and after 8 pm and entry of passenger buses from in front of Moreh Police Station to Namphalong still remain effective.
According to the security forces, the restriction has been imposed to ease traffic congestion along the road leading to Namphalong Market.
