Source: Hueiyen News Service

Imphal, April 23 2009: THE PROSCRIBED Revolutionary People Front (RPF) today said that the "Operation Summer Storm" of the Indian security forces could not affect to the outfits relation with the people and the operation concluded without achieving the goal of the security forces.

In a statement signed by T Leisemba, secretary, publicity, RPF said the operation which was started launching from April 11 at some places of the Loktak lake like Keibul Lamjao, Ithai, Arong Nongmaikhong, Khordak etc.

by the "Indian Occupation Force (IOF)" using sophisticated weapons which are to be used in fighting with other neighbouring countries like Pakistan and China was a fail one.

The security forces used big weapons, heavy artillery, helicopter gunship UAV spy plane and boldly claiming achieving the goal which was not an actual one compared to the grant arrangement they made.

The non-achieving the goal has showed that by using sophisticated weapons, the spirit of struggle for sovereignty could not be suppressed with "hired" security forces.

It should be known that the spirit of patriotism could not be suppressed by arm, the statement said.

RPF believed "Eikhoigi meeyam na esingni yaoloisingna ngani (people are the water and revolutionaries are the fish) and the operation summer stormed could not affect to the relation between the people and the front.

The same was for other revolutionary group, the statement maintained.

But, the front showed respect to the Red Army of the PREPAK killed in the operation.

They fight bravely with the security forces stating that salutes are giving to those deceased cadres and share to the shocks of the respective families.

In the operation 10 people including cadres of the Red Army of PREPAK and civilian were killed, the statement of the RPF further maintained alleging the security force of violating the "Rule of War-protocol of Geneva Convention" and killing people after taken into hand.
