Imphal, January 13: Man League, Manipur in association with Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Golaghat District Committee (Assam) observed Chahi Taret Khuntakpa Ningshing Numit, 2007 on January 9 at Lakhinagar in Golaghat district of Assam.

Advisor of Man League RS Mangang, president of Manipuri Cultural Society (Assam) L Golap Singh and Lilashing GB Lakhinagar attended the commemorative function as chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.

Demonstration of Thang-Ta and presentation of cultural dances were the main highlight of the function during which many noted personalities spoke.
