DC Bishnupur reviews relief camp management

Bishnupur, October 08 2025: Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam today convened a meeting at the B ishnupur Mini Secretariat Complex to review the management and administration of relief camps in the district.

The meeting, held with camp nodal officers, emphasized ensuring proper maintenance and effective governance of the relief camps.

The DC appreciated the nodal officers for their dedicated efforts in maintaining the camps and urged them to continue serving to the best of their abilities.

DC Pooja Elangbam highlighted important points such as the necessity for IDPs to have valid bank accounts to avoid issues during fund transfers.

She also encouraged availing maximum benefits from Government schemes like Mission Vatsalya for education and CMHT and PMJAY for healthcare.

The DC also spoke about the prospects of early rehabilitation for the IDPs, enabling them to return to normal life as soon as possible.

Other aspects related to the efficient functioning of the relief camps were discussed.

Camp nodal officers and representatives of the IDPs shared their inputs and challenges faced on the ground.

The meeting was also attended by ADM Bishnupur Toijam Opendro, SDOs, concerned officials, camp nodal officers, and representatives of the IDPs .
