Imphal, February 19: Decrying the erratic and poor power supply at Thoubal, the JAC Against the Continued Power Failure has decided to impose a 24 hour general strike in the district from tomorrow.

The bandh will however be relaxed for medical, fire service, religious activities and other essential services, said the JAC in a statement issued to the press today.

The JAC said that the Thoubal power sub-station has been supplying power in the area it comes under for only about three hours a day which is also very erratic.
