Imphal, February 15:
In a continued effort to revive the Kuki-Japanese relationship, the Kukiforum New Zealand correspondent is currently sojourning in Imphal, the capital of Manipur State in Northeast India.
The correspondent has been in touch with its headquarters.
After her meetings with few friends and leaders in Japan, Chongboi and its team members are arranging to meet pensioners of the Indian National Army (INA), who in collaboration with the Japanese forces, defended the Kukis' inhabited territories during the second World War.
Important documents and materials pertaining to the Kuki-Japanese are collected and profiled.
Pu Semkhohao is one among the pensioners to be video interviewed in a series of meetings.
We are on the path of making important achievements, said Chongboi.
This historic maneuver is to be followed by the US-based Kuki International Forum (KIF) representative visit to India.
