Imphal, November 29: The corpse of Wahengbam Janeshwar alias Ibochou (45) of Wangoi Wahengbam Leikai found hacked to dead at Wangoi Muslim Awang Leikai under Wangoi police station a few days back was claimed by the family and JAC members from RIMS morgue today.

The body was claimed following assurances by SP Imphal West and OC of Wangoi PS that the culprits will be booked very soon.

Yet, the JAC will not be dismantled until and unless the killers are apprehended but it will suspend its activities for some time.

In case the Govt and the Police Department cannot keep their assurances, the JAC will resume its agitation in collaboration with the people, said a JAC member.
