Imphal, September 29: Showing solidarity to the All Manipur Municipal Employees and Workers' Union, the Jiribam Municipal Employees' Association has closed down the office of the Jiribam Municipal Council for an indefinite period from today, reports our Jiribam correspondent Speaking at a press conference today, secretary of the Association S Gulapi said that the apathy of the Government towards the plight of the Municipal employees in the State has crossed all limits by depriving even the basic salary to sustain oneself.

He also said that lobbying to get the meagre salary has become a trend for the employees of Municipal Council which is very unfortunate.
