Imphal, Jul 28: Imphal East District Police Commandos arrested one INF activist identified as Md Azim Khan (37) s/o Md Abdul Manab of Hatta Golapati from Minuthong area during cordon and search operation conducted at around 6.30 pm yesterday.

On his preliminary interrogation, Azim disclosed he joined the outfit in Jan 2006 through one Tamizur, deputy finance of INF, informed SP of Imphal East L Kailun in a statement.In another statement, the SP informed that a team of Imphal East district police commandos conducted cordon and search operation at Khurai Thoudam Leikai and arrested one RPF activists identified as Thoudam Khambaton alias Umakanta Singh (30) s/o Th Chaoba Singh of Khurai Thoudam Leikai at around 6.05 pm today.

The arrestee disclosed that he joined the outfit in Nov 1997 through one Rajmohon of Keimai of RPF, the SP added.
