While alleging that State authorities had been indifferent to its demand to conduct viva-voce for recruitment of primary teachers All Manipur Written Test Successful Candidates' Association for Primary Teachers 2006 has claimed of damaging atleast 10 goods carriers (trucks) at different locations along the Imphal-Dimapur road today.
Highlighting that written test for the recruitment exercise was conducted over a year back with the follow-up viva voce yet to be conducted, the Association strongly cautioned truck owners/operators to honour the ongoing economic blockade being enforced on the National Highway 39 since october 17 .
The trucks were targeted under compulsion as the Government is yet to provide a firm commitment on conducting the viva voce, the Association maintained in a release.
Blockade supporters targeted the goods carriers at Keithelmanbi, Koubru Leikha, Leikop and Phoivih areas, it added.
