Troops of 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQs IGAR (S) on june 18 reopened the road between Narum School and Narum village after incessant rainfall had caused blockade of the route, said a release issued by PRO IGAR (S).
As commuters, especially school children were facing inconveniences due to the blockade the AR troops put into service JCB/dozer to remove the mud, it added.
On the otherhand, troops of 10 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry of 26 Sector under HQs IGAR (S) provided essential administrative and financial impetus to facilitate renovation of the iron bridge connecting Molcham village of chandel district and Bokkan in Myanmar, the release informed while adding that the bridge was constructed way back in 1975-76 .
The JKLI troops renovated the ageing bridge with the help of improvised wooden structure thereby re-establishing human and vehicular movement, it said.
