Imphal, Aug 19:
Volunteers of Kangleichal and Chituwa have closed down two seedy restaurants which might corrupt the moral of young boys and girls indefinitely.
The two restaurants are Blind Date Restaurant at Porompat and Shanti Restaurant at Keishampat.
Announcing this during a press conference held at the Keishampat office of FREINDS this afternoon, Kangleichal president W Luwangleima Chanu said the seedy nature of these two restaurants was found out during a drive conducted on last Wednesday in connection with the ban on soft drinks.
She informed that these restaurants were using dim light and erecting plywood walls to prevent anybody seeing what is going on inside.
Four gas cylinders, three stoves, one television set and five mobile handsets used by the young boys and girls have also been seized from these two restaurants, she further said, adding that the handsets would be handed over to the respective owners after a proper scrutiny of the contents on August 27.
