Imphal, January 13: During a drive undertaken by AMADA Mayang Imphal Bengoon unit yesterday at Mayang Imphal Bengoon area, two drug addicts were held along with two and half pieces of heroin.

The two drug addicts are identified as Md Manal Makakmayum (26) of Mayang Imphal Bengoon Maning and Md Sikandar Chesam (31) of Heibongmakhong.

They had disclosed that they used to buy heroin from Lalboi and Daopi of North AOC.

However, the heroin pieces seized along with them were bought from one Romen of Mayang Imphal Kokchai Manung.

Warning the above mentioned drug peddlers to give in to AMADA head office by January 18, it is said that the two drug addicts would be handed over to family members after penalising them as per the rules of AMADA.

Further a large quantity of liquor and liquor ingredients were seized by AMADA Ithing and Sendra units on January 10 from Thanga Salam and Thanga Heisnam.

Saying that the owners of the seized liquor and ingredients have been identified, AMADA warned the owners to surrender to AMADA by January 18.The seized items were consigned to flames yesterday at Ithing parking.
