In the course of the history of the revolutionary movement, there were several incidents of factionalism and splits among and within revolutionary organisations due to difference in principle and strategy although they have the same objective.

Intra-conflicts within a revolutionary group may be taken as a phenomenon each group should overcome to make itself distinctive, opined the outfit while recalling of such phenomena witnessed in the history of revolutionary movements across the world.

Recalling about such movements as the Lee Yuan Hung's revolutionary army, Sun Yat Sen's liberation movement, the national army of the Lee Huan Chang and Yuan See Kai, the Kuomintang movement, the Young Chinese nationalism etc, the outfit observed that Chinese revolutionary leaders fought among themselves for control of leadership.

Likewise, one can say there is no revolutionary group in Kangleipak which had not witnessed internal conflicts and tussles in their history.

Though people might not be knowing the details, they know about the formation of Consolidation Committee Manipur (CONSOCOM) by Sudhir in August 1968, followed by establishment of the Revolutionary Government of Manipur.

As such, revolutionary cadres need not worry much when internal conflicts and tussle posed obstacles to the revolutionary movement.

But given the prevailing situation in Manipur, it would not be enough for revolutionary groups by just saying that 'we are waging revolutionary, we would go on'.

It needs a serious introspection and analysis of all aspects to find out a pragmatic route towards 'liberation' of Kangleipak.

Since the PREPAK took birth on October 7, 1977, it has been working with a cognition that the revolutionary movement cannot succeed unless the movement is carried forward by a united front.

Guided by this principle, the outfit always open its door to all fraternal revolutionary groups for unification.

To the party, unity is more precious than its own prestige, PREPAK declared.

The formation of the Revolutionary Joint Committee (RJC) by PREPAK, RPF and KCP on January 29, 1992 and again, the setting up of the Manipur People's Liberation Front (MPLF) on March 1, 1999 were clear testimonies of the outfit's firm belief in unification, it asserted.

It called upon all revolutionary organisations of Kangleipak to join hands under a united front and also to form a common (revolutionary) Government.

All genuine revolutionary organisations must tackle all those counter-revolutionary and reactionary elements aimed at obscuring and projecting the revolutionary in wrong light.

Their counter revolutionary activities have been abetting internal conflicts and tensions within revolutionary organisations, sometimes creating serious issues.

Observing that many unwanted incidents had happened within revolutionary groups, the outfit conveyed sorrow over the incident of killings that resulted from a stand-off within a fraternal revolutionary group sometime back.

PREPAK further expressed solidarity to the particular group.

Had due efforts been made to bring a solution instead of supporting one side at the time of the violent incident that took place in the early part of 2007 in which some people including one leader of a revolutionary group were killed, the people would have viewed the revolutionary groups with a broader perspective and underscored that the revolutionary outfits believe in unity, it lamented.

Observing that it is natural for a revolutionary group to commit mistakes, the outfit suggested that such mistakes be removed by constructive criticism with a view to evolve into more mature and perfect organisations so that a united platform can be built.

This can avert misunderstandings and bad-feelings among revolutionary groups.

The outfit once again conveyed best wishes to the people on the arrival of 2010 .
