TN Haokip assures completion of road work

Imphal, November 01: DIPR, Tourism and PHED Minister TN Haokip has assured that the road development work from Saikot to Churachandpur and adjoining areas would be completed soon.

This was disclosed while speaking as chief guest in the inaugural function of a play ground at Saikot on October 30.The Tourism Minister noted that good play grounds were basic necessities in grooming students and youngsters.

While asking the people of Saikot and adjoining villages, Haokip to maintain the play ground as their own property, Haokip appealed to the parents to encourage their children in games and sports so that the utility of the play ground is reaped to the utmost.

He further appealed to the people to develop forestry areas after the completion of the Khuga Dam.

The inaugural function was also attended by vice-president of Kuki Inpi Churachandpur D Khaipao Haokip as functional president.

TN Haokip also distributed sports materials and monetary aid to the organisers of the function.

Earlier, the Minister inspected the Churachandpur Water Supply plant and the play grounds at K Patlen and Gamnom villages.
