Imphal, September 29: A joint meeting of the Standing Committee of All Manipur Working Joiurnalist Union and the editors held on September 28 afternoon at the Press Club with vice president of the Union Ratneshori Goswami in the chair has resolved that all the social organisations and armed groups should not deliver their press handouts at one newspaper office only but ensure that the same reached the respective newspaper offices either through by hand , e-mail or fax till 2 pm for eveningers and till 7 pm for daily newspapers.

The resolution was taken in view of the problem faced in distribution of the press handouts and to solve the confusion over failure of publishing the same as well as from security, according to a statement issued by general secretary in-charge of AMWJU Jinendra Maibam.

The statement further appealed to all the organisations to respect the resolution of the joint meeting.
