Imphal, Aug 25: The 75th death anniversary of Haipou Jadonang would be observed along with inauguration of a memorial hall at the birth place of freedom fighter Puiluan (Kambiron) village in Nungba sub-division on August 29.MPCC president and deputy chairman of State Planning Board Gaikhangam and Minister of MOBC Md Alauddin Khan would be chief guest and guest of honour respectively of the function to be attended by many high ranking officials of the Government and representatives of all apex organisations of Zeliangrong communities and people from the three States of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.

In this regard, Haipou Jadonang's Custom and Cultural research Committee which is organising the observance function has appealed to all concerned not to call bandh, blockade and strike during the celebration.

On the other hand, All Zeliangrong Arts and Cultural Organisation (AZACO), Manipur would also be observing the 75th death anniversary of Haipou Jadonang at the State level on August 29 at GM Hall, Imphal.

All the communities, civil organisations, intellectuals and student bodies have been invited to participate in the observance function.
