The problems being faced by the journalists working in Manipur have been highlighted at the two-day long 124th Working Committee session of the Indian Federation of Working Journalists which began from today at Club Gaspar Dias, located off the Marimar beach, Panaji, Goa.
Chief Minister of Goa Digambar Kamat inaugurated the session being hosted by Goa Union of Journalist and participated by over 200 journalists from all over the country.
From among the North Eastern States, representatives of Assam Unit of IFJW and two representatives of All Manipur Working Journalists' Union are among the participants.
In the morning session today, secretary of Manipur Press Club, AMWJU Y Rupachandra presented a report highlighting the problems being faced by the journalists working in Manipur.
The issues raised has been taken serious note of by the session and assured all help from the side of IFJW in this regard.
During the formal inauguration function, Standing Committee member of AMWJU W Tiken also presented a memento to the Chief Minister of Goa.
