Peeved hostellers to shut MU A Block from today

Imphal, Jul 24: Incensed over the frequent power cuts at Manipur University, its hostellers have decided to close down the Administrative Block of the university from tomorrow.

Speaking to newsmen this evening at Keishampat, the hostellers said that there has been no power supply for the past one week and this has gravely affected their preparations for the MCA practical examination as well as for the forthcoming MCS/MPS examination.

The Chief Minister and the Power Minister visited MU today and the matter was apprised to them, said the students and added that power supply snapped as soon as they left.

The VC has also been apprised of the matter.
