Imphal, April 22:
Asserting that ad-hoc employees ought to be appointed to their regular post as and when regular appointments for such posts are made and specifically referring to the directive of Gauhati High Court which asked that the ad-hoc employees be given preferential treatment, the All Manipur Autonomous District Council Ad-hoc Teachers Association, Churachandpur district has submitted a memorandum to the Minister of TD, Transport and IFCD.
Referring to the DPC conducted on April 5, 2005, for appointment of 70 assistant under graduate teachers, the association urged the minister to absorb 63 adhoc teachers of the association as regular employees in the vacant posts for which the DPC was conducted.
While reiterating its demand for appointment as regular assistant under graduate teachers under Autonomous District Council, Churachandpur, the association cautioned of taking recourse to other unwanted means if the current DPC fails to honour its demand.
