Urging upon the authority of Manipur University to conduct supplementary exams for BA/BSc/BCom Ist, IInd and IIIrd students with backlog papers every year, the All Manipur College Students' Union has warned of intense agitation.
They also demanded a special supplementary exam for TDC students with backlog papers and for those who have failed in the TDC exams held this year.
Speaking to reporters today, spokesperson of the Union N Rojitkumar reminded that a meeting attended by MU VC, Pro VC, other officials and representatives of different student bodies was held on Frebuary 6 at the Committee room of Manipur University.
During the meeting, the VC assured that a meeting of the MU Academic Council with the Principals of the colleges affiliated to MU would be convened in May/June to discuss the demand for supplementary exam, Rojitkumar disclosed.
Demanding that their demands should be fulfilled immediately after the Academic Council meeting slated at the end of May and beginning of June, the Union warned that it would a series of intense agitation if their demands are not fulfilled after the meeting.
For any untoward incident in the course of the agitation, the MU authority should be held responsible, added the spokesperson.
