Awareness on PMMSY, FIDF and LIFIC held

Bishnupur, January 17 2025:
A one day district level awareness programme on Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojna (PMMSY), Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF), and LIFIC was held today at Kiyamba Ningshing Shanglen, Bishnupur.
The awareness programme attended by more than 400 people from various parts of the district was jointly organised by National Cooperative Development Corporation, Laxmanrao Inamdar Academy (NCDC LINAC) and Regional Training Centre (RTC), Guwahati under the initiative of Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India.
The program was attended by Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS), Govt of Manipur, Arambam Valentina (IAS), CBBD)-DSSS Imphal, Joint Director, Rev Father Soni Thomas, NCDC Guwahati, RO, Jagadeshwar Rao, District Fisheries Officer, Chandel, Supam Jiten, Fisheries Department Head office, NCDC Deputy Director, Patil Nilesh Suresh as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Arambam Valentina urged the people to avail benefits from various fisheries schemes launched by Manipur Government and Department of Cooperative Societies for the welfare of people and also appeals to cooperate on the initiative of the Cooperative Societies.
Later at the evening session, NCDC Guwahati RO, Jagadeshwar Rao stressed on the "Role of NCDC in development of Fisheries Cooperatives across the Country", while DFO Chandel, Sapam Jiten stressed on "Awareness about the role of Department of Fisheries & NCDC through implementation of various financial assistance through PMMSY and FIDF schemes and Patil Nilesh Suresh, Deputy Director, Fisheries Dept, Head office, NCDC stressed on "Awareness about FFPO Scheme, PM-MKSSY and LINAC-Fisheries Business Incubation Centre (LIFIC), its significance, application procedure and benefits.
