Imphal, January 16: In response to the total disregard to the just demand of the KSO (Chandel), Kukis Chiefs Association (Chandel) and Kuki Movement for human Rights representatives of the three bodies in a joint meeting has decided to call 24 hours bandh in the whole of Chandel district from January 27 midnight, said a KSO, Chandel release.

The release also pointed out demands of the three organisations concerning alleged electoral irregularities in Tengnoupal Assembly Constituency's Machi sub-division wherein abnormal population of electorates had been recorded, manipulation of electoral role and rampant inclusion of bogus and proxy voters.

Reminded that delegates of the three organisations had already apprised the matter to relevant authorities who had even assured to rectify the electoral anomalies but no positive action had been initiated, the KSO released further conveyed that such inaction from authorities concerned had compelled the organisations to resort to the proposed agitation.
