Imphal, April 13: A seminar on �Preservation and Conservation of Records of Tamenglong District� was organised by the Tamenglong Youth Organisation (TYO) on April 11 at Tamenglong district HQs.

The seminar was attended by president of TYO Namkinpao as chief guest, SP of Tamenglong HQs Sharma as functional president and Longjing Panmei as guest of honour.

Director of Manipur State Archives K Susila recounted various initiatives undertaken by the Archives Department towards preservation of ancient manuscripts and stone engravings.

Mutuwa Bahadur of Manipur State Archives spoke on the origin of Kabui culture and tradition.

Naorem Indramani dealt on the use of micro film for preservation of age old relics.

Mangshatabam Lokendro called upon the people to protect our identity and to promote indigenous culture.
