Imphal, November 10 2008:
Over 80 goods laden trucks have been stranded at Mao Gate and Khuzuma following the economic blockade imposed by Senapati District Students' Association.
In protest against the deplorable condition of the National Highway 39 stretch passing through Senapati district and decrying the failure of the State Government to look into the matter, the student body imposed the economic blockade since November 1 .
Meanwhile Works Minister K Ranjit informed TSE that repairing work of NH-39 has started and added that the Government is in touch with SDSA and urging them to withdraw their agitation.
