Imphal, January 06 2010:
Shija Hospitals and Research Institute, Langol became the first private hospital in the state to be granted accreditation for DNB (Diplomat National Board) General Surgery Course.
This accreditation follows a thorough inspection of the hospital by a team of inspectors from the National Board of Examinations, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt.of India, according to a press release issued by the Chairman cum Managing Director of the Hospital.
The DNB is a 3 years Post Graduate Course and is recognized by the Medical Council of India, Universities and legal bodies.
As per the accreditation, the hospital has been allowed to start the course form January 10 with an annual intake of 2 seats of which one candidate should have cleared the DNB primary and one candidate should be an MCI/University recognized Post Graduate Diploma of two years.
The release further informed that notification for admission will be announced in all the leading newspaper in January itself.
