Imphal, March 31: Under the stated objective of the Army to motivate poor and needy acquire quality education, the Mayang Imphal post of 22 Maratha Light Infantry has adopted Master Robinson Thongam Singh s/o Th Rameshwar Singh of Maibam.

A class VII student of Sainik School, Imphal Robinson is being financially supported with yearly scholarship of Rs 30,000 granted by 9 Sector AR.

Moreover, Ch Sunder Singh of Chabung Kampany a physically challenged class X student of Pishakmacha Bidya Mandir in Mayang Imphal and Miss Rabia of Paobitek orphan student of class II, are also being supported by the Mayang Imphal post of the 22 MLI with regular monthly scholarships, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.
