The Corps of Signals today celebrated its 94th Corps Raising Day.
In its 94 years of existence, the Corps had spectacular achievements in the field of communications and today is in the forefront for implementing modern technologies in the Indian Army.
The Corps has won many laurels in operations, disaster management, sports and adventure.
The Corps has to its credit one Ashok Chakra, two Maha Vir Chakra, four Vir Chakras, one Kirti Chakra, four Shourya Chakras, two Arjuna Awardees and one Padmashri, besides number of Yudh Seva Medal, Sena Medal and others.
The Signals is not only responsible for providing communication, signal intelligence and electronic warfare support to the Indian Army but also provide operational connectivity to the Navy and the Air Force.
