Imphal, December 12: Contending that it is unfortunate and disappointing that the Govt of Manipur has been trying to suppress the democratic agitation launched by the people pressing for a charter of demands rather than resolving the issue amicably, the Naga Students Union, Chandel today said that the indifference of the Govt to their demands will only worsen matter.

In a statement the student body said that instead of trying to resolve the matter, the State Govt is deploying police commandos to thwart the agitation.
