Setting January 12 as the deadline within which the Government should make arrangement for providing regular electricity and drinking water to the people, a joint meeting of all the clubs and Meira Paibis of Thongju, Langthabal, Kiyamgei, Chajing, Naorem Leikai, Bashikhong and Haoreibi area have threatened to impose an indefinite general strike if the Government fails to do so.
According to a statement issued by secretary of United Social Development Organisation, Chanchipur H Deben Singh the people of the area and specially the students are facing lot of problems in preparing for their forthcoming examinations, as the electricity supply has been affected for the last one month.
