Imphal, March 01: KSO, Kuki Inpi and Kuki Chiefs' Assn, New Keithelmanbi Area in a joint impromptu meeting held yesterday evening has strongly condemned the behaviour of Tata truck driver (MN-01-4388) Md Anwar (35) s/o Late Haji Jamaruddin of Thoubal Moijing who fled away after running over a minor school going girl, Nemneilhing (Lhingneo) Haokip (12) d/o late Khaijang Haokip of S Laiyang village, Sadar Hills West.

According to a statement issued by president of KSO, New Keithelmanbi Block Hemsei Haokip, the e driver sped away his truck after committing the crime towards Imphal.

On seeing the incident, some local youths chased after and rounded him up at Khumbong Bazar.

Unfortunately, they were beaten up by a person named Komol Naba Singh who claimed that he is a Police Commando and used abusive word.

The behaviour and the conduct of the police commando was intolerably abusive and communal.
