Imphal, October 28: The body of the individual believed to have fallen into Imphal river on firing by Imphal East commandos while reportedly coming to collect money for KNA on October 24 has been fished out from near Thumbuthong (bridge) today morning.

The deceased persons is said to be personnel of 2nd MR identified as Henkholun Haokip (37) of Matejang village, Churachandpur.

The body was found hit by a bullet at the waist which exited through the stomach.

As no understanding could be arrived at during the talk with KSO representatives and the State Government today, both the corpses are still lying at RIMS morgue even though post mortem examinations have been conducted.

The other corpse belongs to 1st MR Rifleman Tongthang Haokip (40) of M Songgel village, shot dead on the spot in the same incident.
