Committee Against Drug Abuse and Alcoholism (CADA) has pulled up two persons while abusing Brown Sugar from DM College campus.
Following their disclosure, the person who supplied the Brown Sugar too was pulled up and later handed over to his family members after giving proper advice against carrying on with such illegal activities.
The persons who were pulled up along with Brown Sugar from their possession are identified as Nongthombam Sana alias Ibosana (32) of Nagamapal Poanam Leikai and Tongbram Boy alias Robindro (22) of Lalambung Makhong Naosekpam Leikai.
After pulling up, they were interrogated at AMSU headquarters located within the campus of the college.
There they disclosed that the drug was supplied to them by one Laishram Indubushan (37) of Nagamapal Singjubung Lairak.
Subsequently, a team of CADA volunteers pulled up Indubushan from his residence.
Sana and Boy have also reportedly disclosed that they sometime bought Brown Sugar from North AOC area of Imphal.
Taking serious note of this matter, general secretary of CADA Leishangthem Naobi said CADA would start paying serious attention in North AOC area while launching its anti-drug campaign and appealed to the Government for taking up necessary measures in this regard.
Naobi informed that all the persons pulled up by CADA would be handed over to their respective families after giving proper advice.
