KSO urges CM on Community Health Centre

Imphal, May 21: Reminding the reported assurance of the Chief Minister that the Saikul PHC will be upgraded to the status of Community Health Centre a couple of years back, the KSO, Saikul sub-division has urged upon the Chief Minister for the upgrading the PHC.

A press release issued by the student body lamented that the health care facilities available in the area is inadequate to meet the growing demands of the increasing population and urbanisation.

It decried posting of only one medical officer at the PHC while daily OPD registration is over 100 patients.

Even as Government records shows presence of Agriculture Extension office at Saikul, in reality there is no trace of such office in the area, said KSO while demanding immediate activation of the same office.
