Lamka, November 20: Pledging all possible cooperation to the Manipur Police Housing Corporation, the Churachandpur District Students' Union have, in a memo submitted to the former called for speeding up the construction work of the Youth Hostel without eluding the quality.

The union's memo also recounted the structure lying unattended for several years.

Concrete beams were the only visible structure for now and many of them have already caved in.

The hostel, according to the memo would be a boon for non-resident students hailing mainly from the interior and other district.

But the poor quality and slothful pace of work has contradicted 'our hope and gratefulness on this construction,' it mentioned.

"It is in this view that the union is requesting and praying for speeding up the construction work and its quality maintained.
