Imphal, June 20 2009:
In connection with implementing Livelihood Project and discuss issues related to HIV/AIDS and other developmental projects in the State, a high level 6-member team of the Central Inter-Ministry would be arriving here on a three-day visit on June 29 .
To be led by Special Consultant Northeast in-charge of Union Planning Commission Firoz Merotra, the team which would include Joint Secretary Northeast in-charge of MHA Navin Verma would interact with the Government officials on various issues related to implementation of livelihood project, HIV/AIDS and other developmental projects including those being taken under Plan assistance amount and SPA.
On the other hand, a joint meeting of the Chief Ministers of the North Eastern States to be chaired by DoNER Minister BK Handique has been convened on June 24 to discussed the new guidelines of the NLCPR and NEC funded projects.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and Additional Chief Secretary (Planning) are expected to take part in the said meeting.
