Neikanlong Villagers urge SF, UGs

Imphal, September 16: Neikanlong Village Peikai, Neikanlong Women Society and Rongmei Lu Phuam (RLP) Assam, Manipur and Nagaland jointly expressed condemned security personnel and UG groups for bringing their captives and kill them at the village and adjoining areas of Langol Tarung foothills.

Informing that a young male captive was brought at Neikanlong village and shot dead at around 6:30 pm by unidentified gunmen despite their earlier protest, the bodies made it clear that the people of the area cannot tolerate such violent activities anymore in the area.

Saying that people of the locality will not allow to convert the area into a killing field or a dumping ground for corpses, the bodies also said that it gives a fear psychosis to children and women.

The bodies also urged the security personnel including police commandos and armed groups not to repeat such senseless killings in and around the locality in future.
