New Lions Team for Kohima

Kohima, Jul 16: The Lions Club Kohima has today got a new team of office bearers for the "Lionistics Year of 2006-07." Lion Mrs Lalita R Khadria, MJF, Zone Chairman, had administered the installation of the new team of office bearers in a ceremony held here today at the office of the Lions Club Kohima.

The new team members are Lion Tali Jamir, President; Lion MJG V Rochill, Immediate Past President; Lion AB Menon, Secretary; Lion Talitemsu Jamir, Treasurer; Lion Rajeev Verma, 1st Vice President; Lion Dr Tako Lemtor, 2nd Vice President; Lion Dr Sashimeren Aier, Director; Lion MJF H Achumi, Director; Lion Seyie, Director; Lion SP Francis, Lion Tail Twister and Lion Renilo Nuh, Lion Tamer.

Congratulating the new team, Lion Mrs Lalita R Khadria exuded confidence that they would continue to carry the principles of the "largest philanthropic organization" in the world while rendering their selfless services to humanity.

She expressed her happiness on the fast growth of Lions movement in the State and the positive feedback they received over the years.

"We come together to serve the needy people and this coming together is the beginning of our mission.

We also live together and this is the progress and then working together which is finally a success," she said.

"We are working on these principles." Expressing his gratitude for electing as the new president of the Club, Lion Tali Jamir recalled how the members of the Club had been rendering their humanitarian services to society.

Stating that they had a great task ahead of them, the new president assured that they would try to revamp for better deliverance of their services and sought cooperation and support from all the members of the Club.

Earlier three new members---Dr B Imliwabang, Mr Imlisunep Ao and Mr Hozheto Shikhu---were inducted by Lion Mrs Lalita R Khadria.

The members also observed one minute-silence for the Mumbai bomb blast victims and also for the world peace.

Lion T Meren Paul, MJF was the Master of Ceremony of the function, while AB Menon, Secretary delivered vote of thanks.

Members from Dimapur Lions Club also attended the function.
