AMADA completes 5 years today

Imphal, December 15 2010: The All Manipur Anti Drug Association (AMADA) will be observing its 5th anniversary under the theme 'Let us save our threatened identity from Narcotic imperislism' on December 20 .

It may be mentioned that AMADA was established on December 20, 2005 with an aim to root out drugs and intoxicants from the soil of the state.

The association has been observing the day as 'Rising day against Drugs and intoxicants' since 2007 when the titular king of Manipur Leishemba Sanajaoba declared in its 2nd anniversary observation day.

As part of the observation, AMADA will be organizing a State Level Open Health Mega Quiz Competition at Temple of Learning (TOL), Canchipur on the day.

A selection test for students to participate in the competition will be held at 9 am of the day at the same venue, stated a press release today.

An observation committee under the name Mayai Kaba Chinjakki Mayokta Meetkap Thokpa Numit Observation Committee was also form yesterday for smooth conduct of the anniversary observation.

Y Sundari Leima and Ph Phoni were appointed as Chairman and Convener of the committee.

K Meghachandra, N Bobo, Ng Gautam, Ch Rita, K Hemabati, T Tembi, L Tombi and E Ibempishak were also appointed as co-conveners.
