Imphal, April 01: The Apunba Manipur Matam Eshei Kanglup (AMMIK) has condoled the demise of the pioneering figure of Manipuri films .

AMMIK also shared the pain and grief being endured by the bereaved family.

To pay obeisance to the noted film maker, a condolence meeting was held yesterday at Hotel Excellency under the aegis of Film Forum, Manipur.

During the condolence meeting, the immense contribution of the late film maker to the Manipuri was recalled.

It may be mentioned here that G Narayan was the producer/director of many popular films like Saphabee, Lamja Parshuram, Olangthagee Wangmadashu etc.

Likewise, a two minutes' silence was observed to pay homage to the departed soul during the 28th Lions annual district conference on its concluding day today at Hotel Tampha.

Late G Narayan Sharma who took a great role in the establishment of the Indo-Myanmar Association was also condoled by its members.

The members also observed two minutes' silence and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace in the Heavenly abode.
