Under the aegis of the Centre for Advocacy and Research and Project Orchid, a media consultancy programme was held today at Hotel Nirmala.
The programme held under the theme "Engaging with concerns around HIV/AIDS towards a coordinated Response" was participated by representatives of private print and electronic media of the State.
During the programme, the media representatives highlighted the difficulties endured by media persons on the issue of HIV/AIDS.
Taking part in the consultancy meet, people living with HIV/AIDS put forward their suggestions to the media persons regarding the mode of reporting, areas to be focused and other points related with HIV/AIDS.
The media persons too, conveyed their desire for people living HIV/AIDS and NGOs concerned to respond to media reports on HIV/AIDS.
Addressing the consultancy programme, Sumita Thappar of CFAR Delhi spoke on MSM, identity, vulnerability to HIV/AIDS, role in HIV prevention and PLHA, involvement of PLHA in governance.
