Imphal, March 13: Former Director-in-charge of the Education (School) Department NK Shimray who surrendered before the Court of the Special Judge I, Manipur East, Max Phazang on March 9 in connection with the Rs 13 crore scam was sent to jail today.

Shimray who was produced before the Court of the Special Judge I, Manipur East was sentence to jail by the same Court today.

The accused was produced before the Court after 5 days of police remand.
