The 7th general conference cum cultural festival of Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi (LNKR) was held from Feb 8 to 12 at Piulekluang Village, Tamenglong district.
The festival was held under the theme �our culture, our identity�.
In the innaugral session Mani Charenamai MP (Lok Sabha) was the chief guest while Samuel Jendai, MLA Tamenglong and D Dikambui, president Zeliangrong Union (AM&N) were the guest of honour and functional president respectively.
The cultural festival was graced by TR Zeliang MP (Rajya Sabha) Nagaland as chief guest while Z Mangaibou, Tamei A/C MLA Tamei and Nganthonang, vice-president Naga Hoho graced the function as guest of honour and functional president respectively.
Benjamin Newmai, Tribunal Vigilance, Govt of Nagaland, Ringsanbou, general manager Handloom and Handicraft Nagaland, Kaikhamang Daimai, Deputy Director TD, Manipur, Zanbui, SDC Tamei, Azinbou Abonmai, president LNC (M) also attended the festival at the following sessions.
Meanwhile, the general secretary of All Liangmai Naga Students Union (ALNSU) expressed gratitude to all the chief guests, guests of honour, functional presidents, patrons, resource persons, units, participants, prizes donors, contractors, host village and well wishers etc.
Training prog: state farmers were thoroughly informed on artificial magur (catfish/ngakra) rearing during training programme organised at ICAR Centre, Lamphel on january 12 and 13, said a delayed report.
The programme organised under the sponsorship of Central Institute of Fresh Water Aquaculture and State Fishery Department was attended by 55 candidates belonging to the farming community of Imphal West and East, Bishnupur and Thoubal districts.
The training programme had extensive sessions on artificial breeding of magur (Clarias batrachus) in Manipur considered as endangered and esteemed specialities in the State.
Instructors dwelt at length on technicalities of the artificial breeding processes which require around 4/5 days for the hatching to take shape and ready for fingerlings rearing.
